Overview
The pole is the part of a street lighting installation that has to survive twenty years of weather, so Mast Lighting treats it as a structural product rather than an accessory. Poles are fabricated from steel, welded, then hot-dip galvanized inside and out so the zinc layer protects the cut edges, the weld seams and the interior of the shaft where corrosion normally begins.
Standard heights are 6m, 8m, 10m and 12m in tapered square or round sections, with custom heights, tapers and arm geometries produced to drawing. Each pole ships with its base flange and anchor bolt cage so the foundation can be cast before the poles arrive on site.
Structurally the range is engineered to withstand winds up to Grade 12 typhoon level, which matters for coastal Africa, Caribbean and Southeast Asian projects where a lighting column is expected to stay standing through storm season.

Why hot-dip galvanizing rather than paint?
Hot-dip galvanizing coats the steel inside and out, including welds and cut edges, giving sacrificial protection that paint alone cannot provide. Powder coating can be applied over the galvanizing where a specific colour is required.
What wind loading do the poles withstand?
The pole range is engineered to withstand winds up to Grade 12 typhoon level; individual projects are engineered to the site wind-load requirement.
Do the poles ship with foundation hardware?
Yes. Poles are supplied with the welded base flange and matching anchor bolt cage so foundations can be cast before delivery.
Can you make non-standard heights?
Yes. Beyond the standard 6m, 8m, 10m and 12m, poles are produced to customer drawings including custom tapers, arm geometry and flange patterns.
