A solar street light charges a battery from a photovoltaic module during the day and powers an LED luminaire from that stored energy at night, managed by an intelligent controller. Mast Lighting systems use LiFePO4 storage and support light control, timer control, PIR motion sensing and dimming.
How long do solar street light batteries last?
Mast Lighting uses LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries with a typical service life of 5 to 8 years. The complete solar street light carries a 3-year warranty.
How many rainy days of backup do the systems provide?
Standard configurations provide 3 to 7 consecutive rainy days of autonomy. Larger battery capacities are specified for monsoon regions and long overcast seasons.
