Quality assurance

Quality Control, Certification & Warranty You Can Verify

Mast Lighting operates a TÜV Rheinland audited factory (MIC-ASI264744) with ISO9001 quality management and inspection at every production stage. Solar street lights carry a 3-year warranty and use LiFePO4 cells rated for a typical 5 to 8 year service life.

Quality is controlled where the product is made

An outdoor luminaire fails years after it is installed, in a country the manufacturer will never visit. That is why inspection has to happen upstream — at the cell, at the casting, at the weld — rather than as a final glance before the carton is sealed.

Mast Lighting keeps research and development, production, engineering and export inside one organisation, so a defect trend found on the line reaches the engineers who designed the part rather than a supplier's customer service desk. The in-house research team works specifically on LED light source design, heat dissipation management and light efficiency optimisation — the three areas where outdoor lighting most often degrades early.

The same discipline applies to customized orders. An OEM/ODM customization with a different battery capacity, pole design or control strategy runs through the same staged inspection as a standard build.

Pole wind rating Hot-dip galvanized, engineered to withstand Grade 12 typhoon wind

Inspection procedure

Five inspection points between component and container

  1. 01

    Incoming material inspection

LED chips, LiFePO4 cells, photovoltaic modules, controllers, drivers, die-cast housings and steel sections are checked before release to production. Cells are matched so a pack does not age unevenly around a weak member.

  2. 02

    In-process control

Checks run through assembly, welding, sheet-metal work and pole fabrication. Faults found on the line cost a rework; faults found after galvanizing or potting cost the component.

  3. 03

    Ageing and functional test

Continuous charge/discharge and lighting ageing runs verify that the controller, battery and luminaire behave correctly over sustained cycling, together with the control functions specified for the order.

  4. 04

    Ingress and environmental verification

IP65/IP66 sealing is verified on the assembled product, and the specified operating range of −40°C to 65°C is validated against the configuration supplied.

  5. 05

    Pre-shipment inspection

Final appearance, labelling, branding placement, packaging and function checks before the consignment is released for export.

Credentials

Certification and audit status

Buyers importing lighting into municipal and highway projects are usually asked to evidence the supplier's status as well as the product's. The credentials below are the ones Mast Lighting holds and can document on request.

Credential What it evidences Reference
TÜV Rheinland audited supplier Independent third-party audit of the manufacturing operation Audit report MIC-ASI264744
ISO9001 quality management A documented quality system governing production and inspection Stated quality management standard
Certification document gallery Ten certification documents displayed by the company Available on request with an enquiry

Product-level marks required for a specific destination market vary by country and by project. Tell us the destination and the tender requirement with your enquiry and we will confirm exactly which documentation can be supplied for that configuration — see also export markets.

In-house testing

Testing is not subcontracted

Ageing runs, functional verification of control features and ingress checks are carried out in-house on the same site where the product is built, which is what makes a mid-production correction possible at all. Photometric performance for a specific installation is verified separately through the free Dialux lighting design, so the buyer sees both the product data and the predicted result on their own road.

The scope covers everything manufactured here — solar street lights, LED street lights, high mast systems, galvanized poles, traffic structures, photovoltaic modules and LiFePO4 storage.

Quality questions

Certification and warranty FAQ

What certifications does Mast Lighting hold?
Mast Lighting is listed as an audited supplier with TÜV Rheinland under audit report number MIC-ASI264744, states ISO9001 quality management, and displays a gallery of ten certification documents. Certification documents can be sent with a project enquiry.
What warranty applies to the solar street lights?
Solar street lights carry a 3-year warranty. The LiFePO4 batteries used in them are rated for a typical service life of 5 to 8 years, so the cell chemistry is expected to outlast the warranty period under normal cycling.
How long do the LiFePO4 batteries last?
Typical service life is 5 to 8 years. LiFePO4 chemistry tolerates deeper discharge and higher ambient temperatures than lead-acid, which is why it is specified for outdoor solar lighting in hot climates.
How are the products tested before shipment?
Inspection runs at four points before dispatch: incoming material, in-process during assembly and fabrication, ageing and functional testing of the assembled product, and a final pre-shipment check covering appearance, labelling, packaging and function.
Can I audit the factory or arrange an inspection?
Yes. Mast Lighting welcomes factory visits and third-party pre-shipment inspection arranged by the buyer. Contact us to schedule a visit or to coordinate with your appointed inspection agency.
