Free Dialux Lighting Design & Full Project Support

Mast Lighting provides a free professional Dialux simulation for outdoor lighting projects, then supports the project through specification, production, installation, commissioning and after-sales. Engineering is part of the supply, not an invoiced extra.

What the free Dialux design gives you

A lighting design answers a question a datasheet cannot: will this particular layout, on this particular road, reach the illuminance and uniformity the project is contracted to achieve. We model the proposed installation in Dialux and report the result before anything is manufactured — which is also how a specification gets corrected while correcting it is still free.

  • Illuminance and luminance calculation for the proposed layout
  • Uniformity ratio across the carriageway or working area
  • Glare assessment for the selected optics and mounting height
  • Pole height, spacing and arm/tilt recommendation
  • Luminaire selection and wattage confirmation
  • A simulation you can attach to a tender submission

What we need from you

Road or area geometry Width, number of lanes, length, median or footway arrangement
Mounting arrangement Single side, staggered, opposite or central, plus proposed pole height
Spacing The spacing you are considering, or the pole positions already fixed
Target standard The lighting class or illuminance level the project must achieve
Power source Mains supply, off-grid solar, or hybrid switching
Site conditions Climate, wind zone and any obstruction or shading

Service scope

Support across the whole project life

Mast Lighting integrates research and development, production, engineering contracting and export in one organisation, which is why the same company that designs the light source can also commission the installation.

Free Dialux lighting design

Mast Lighting provides a professional Dialux simulation at no charge for project enquiries. The design is produced from your road dimensions, pole height, installation spacing and the local illumination standard, and if the first configuration misses the target we adjust wattage, optics, height or spacing until it complies.

Product selection and configuration

Our engineers translate the photometric result into a buildable specification: LED wattage, optical distribution, LiFePO4 capacity and autonomy days, photovoltaic panel power, pole height, wall thickness and finish, and the smart control strategy.

Engineering contracting

Beyond supply, Mast Lighting undertakes municipal infrastructure, intelligent building, landscape, sports facility and earthwork engineering, along with equipment maintenance, installation and engineering management — so a project can be handled as one scope rather than split across trades.

Installation and commissioning support

Products ship with installation documentation, and we provide commissioning guidance for controllers, dimming profiles and hybrid solar/grid switching. Customized installation approaches are prepared for difficult environmental conditions.

Remote troubleshooting and maintenance

After handover we support the maintaining contractor with remote troubleshooting and maintenance guidance — panel cleaning intervals, battery health checks over the 5–8 year LiFePO4 service life and ingress-seal inspection.

Warranty and after-sales

Solar street lights carry a 3-year warranty. Because the luminaire, pole, panel and battery come from one factory, a warranty question does not turn into a dispute between suppliers.

How it works

Four steps from enquiry to supported installation

  1. 01

    Share the project

Send road dimensions, mounting height, spacing and the lighting class the project must meet.

  2. 02

    Receive the design

Our engineers return a Dialux simulation with illuminance, uniformity and glare results, plus a recommended configuration.

  3. 03

    Confirm specification and price

Wattage, storage, panel, pole and controls are fixed against the design, and factory-direct pricing is issued.

  4. 04

    Production, shipping and support

Staged inspection, direct export under our own import/export rights, then installation, commissioning and after-sales support.

Products covered

Design support across the full range

The design service covers everything we manufacture: solar street lights from 50W to 300W with 3–7 rainy-day autonomy, LED street lights from 120W to 320W reaching 200–220 lm/W, high mast systems from 20m to 60m and hot-dip galvanized poles engineered for Grade 12 typhoon wind.

Scenario-specific guidance is set out in the lighting solutions pages, and OEM/ODM customization lets the resulting specification be produced under your own brand.

Service questions

About the design service

Is the Dialux lighting design really free?
Yes. For project enquiries the photometric design is provided at no charge. It is how we establish that the configuration we quote actually meets the requirement, so it benefits both sides.
What information do you need to produce a street lighting design?
Road or area width and length, the mounting height under consideration, the intended pole spacing and arrangement, the lighting class or illuminance target, and whether the supply is mains, solar or hybrid. Site photographs help where obstructions exist.
What standards do you design to?
We design to the standard that governs your contract and to the lighting class stated in the tender. The simulation reports average illuminance, uniformity ratio and glare so the result can be checked against whichever framework applies locally.
What lux level is recommended for street lighting?
There is no single figure — the requirement depends on the road class, traffic type and the standard in force at the location. Residential streets sit far below arterial roads, and highway interchanges higher again. The Dialux design confirms the level your project needs and whether the proposed layout reaches it.
Do you support installation and commissioning?
Yes. We provide installation guidance, commissioning support for controllers and dimming profiles, remote troubleshooting and maintenance guidance, and undertake engineering contracting directly where the project calls for it.

Send the road dimensions and we will design the lighting

Width, length, mounting height, intended spacing and the lighting class you must meet. There is no design fee and no obligation to order.
